Audrey Hanna is passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. She believes therapy is most effective when clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting change.
She has a special interest in working with individuals struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, trauma, and depression. She recognizes how overwhelming these experiences can feel and strives to create a safe, collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients can develop practical skills while building a deeper understanding of themselves.
Audrey primarily utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard treatments for OCD and anxiety spectrum disorders. She helps clients learn to respond differently to intrusive thoughts, reduce compulsive behaviors, and move toward a life guided by their values rather than anxiety or fear.
She also enjoys supporting individuals experiencing eating disorders and body image concerns, taking a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that promotes healing, self-acceptance, and a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. Her work is grounded in evidence-based treatment while honoring each client's unique experiences and goals, and holding a body-positive approach to the work.
For clients recovering from trauma, Audrey utilizes Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process traumatic experiences, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and regain a sense of safety, confidence, and resilience.
Throughout her training, she has utilized her desire to have therapy be a kind, connective, and healing space in her work with children, adolescents, and adults in nonprofit community mental health, outpatient, and substance use treatment settings. She has experience treating anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, grief and loss, depression, self-harm, substance use disorders, and suicidal ideation. She values collaborating closely with clients to create individualized treatment that reflect their strengths, values, and personal goals.
